Parents: Dorea and Charlus Potter, Dorea was a disowned member of the Black family. Both were older when they had James, their only son, even by wizarding terms and died of natural causes in 1977.

Sexuality: Straight (is man-slut a sexuality?)
Significant Others: The closest he's ever come is Lily Evans, he liked her for years and she finally gave him a chance in 7th year at Hogwarts, but they learned quickly he wasn't quite ready for something like that. Currently very single and enjoying it. (Have gotten the OK from Lily's player on this).
Blood Ancestry: Pureblood, of the Black and Potter lines; descended of the Riddles and the Peverells (thus the Gryffindors and Slytherins).
Physical Description: James was a tall, thin man with hazel eyes and untidy black hair that stuck up at the back. During his Hogwarts years, he had an indefinable air of having been well cared for and even adored. As late as his fifth year, he started wearing glasses, although in his first year he had not. His son, Harry, was constantly noted to look very much like him, having the same untidy hair and eyesight, but the shape and color of his eyes were identical to those of his mother's.

James will think being 'pulled' is the absolute coolest thing. Except for his friends, who he'll worry about like woah, he didn't really have much obligation in the 'real' world. No serious girlfriends, his parents passed about a year ago (in his time), and didn't have a job yet (he'd been getting ready to take the August Aurors entrance exam, after a year off of school. So much for that). He's still the cocky, reckless kid he was at Hogwarts, even if being Head Boy had tempered that a bit, it didn't totally extinguish it, and in this new universe he might just relive some of his more exciting memories!
From Canon:
James was a clever and talented wizard, but very mischievous when he was younger. He could be arrogant and boastful, and even bullied other students on occasion, particularly his long-time rival, Severus Snape. However, he ultimately grew out of this, losing some of his arrogance and becoming enough of a responsible student and leader to be Head Boy in his final year, and later a member of the Order of the Phoenix; though he never entirely lost his rebellious side, it was clear James left Hogwarts a much more mature person than he had been upon entering it. James died bravely sacrificing himself for his family, showing that he was a true Gryffindor. Despite being a pure-blood, James disagreed strongly with the concept of blood purity, and was disgusted with any prejudice towards Muggle-borns. In addition, he did not hold prejudice towards werewolves, such as one of his dearest friends, Remus Lupin.
James is seen to be willingly to save his wife and son's life rather his own; it is possible that his greatest weakness was his son, Harry.
